Buffalo Bills to Ban Beer Sales for Monday Night Games
The Buffalo Bills, who play host to a Monday night football game next week for the first time since 1984, said Thursday that beer sales will be banned at Rich Stadium in an effort to reduce rowdy fan behavior.
Team sources said the Bills plan to take other steps to keep fans under control during the Bills-Broncos game Monday, including beefing up security patrols, better enforcing a ban on alcohol containers brought into the stadium and possibly giving public-service announcements encouraging responsible behavior.
The ban will also apply to the Bills’ other Monday night home game this season, against the Rams on Oct. 16. Beer will be sold in Rich Stadium during the other six home games this season.
