Bubba Dasher Wins at Los Alamitos

Bubba Dasher surprised a field of six Tuesday night in the Los Alamitos feature and paid $26.80 to win. Ridden by Eddie Garcia and trained by Rodney Hart, Bubba Dasher ran the 400 yards in 20.08 seconds.

It was the seventh victory in 21 starts for Bubba Dasher, and his second in seven starts in 1989. He was claimed in his last start, July 15, for $6,250 and beat $10,000 claimers Tuesday night.

Double The Effort, with Henry Garcia aboard, was second and paid $6.20 and $3. Seems To Me, and jockey Ralph Seville, were worth $2.80 to show. Ala F. Admiral, Harry Mito and Kidish completed the order of finish.

Tonight’s card is highlighted by four divisions of the Dash For Cash Futurity. The trials will determine the 10 finalists in the $700,000 estimated Dash For Cash Futurity Sept. 30.
