“Desperate Hours,” the Broadway play that became a 1955 movie, will go before the cameras again Oct. 23 in a new Dino De Laurentiis presentation to be filmed in Utah and Colorado. Michael Cimino will direct from his own screenplay that is based on a screenplay by Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal. Cimino and De Laurentiis will produce and Martha Schumacher, president of the Film and Television Co., is executive producer. Mickey Rourke, Anthony Hopkins, Mimi Rogers, Lindsay Crouse and Kelly Lynch are the stars of the drama, in which a group of escaped convicts terrorize a family.
