“L.A. Law” is the critics’ choice for the 1989-90 television season. TV Guide polled a dozen major newspaper television writers and “L.A. Law” was the only show to get votes from all of them. Ranked second was “The Wonder Years,” followed by “Cheers” and “Murphy Brown” tied for third, the debuting “The Famous Teddy Z” fifth, “Roseanne” sixth, the new “Life Goes On” and “thirtysomething” tied at No. 7 and “China Beach” and “The Tracey Ullman Show” tied for ninth. The worst show in the poll was the new “Baywatch,” followed by “The Reporters,” “A Different World” and “Totally Hidden Video.”
