Teen-Age Driver Dies in Crash With 2nd Car
A Burbank teen-ager was killed early Sunday when the car he was driving hit an oncoming vehicle and overturned, Burbank police said.
Sgt. Pat Lynch said Jaime Garcia, 17, died of injuries sustained in the 1 a.m. crash on Victory Place just north of Burbank Boulevard.
Lynch said Garcia’s car, traveling south at an “excessive speed,” crossed the center divider, hit another vehicle and flipped over. The driver of the other vehicle was treated briefly at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank and released. The second driver’s identity was unavailable, Lynch said.
