Two college conference commissioners, Jim Delany of the Big Ten and Harvey Schiller of the Southeastern, are said to be among those still in the running for the position of Football League commissioner, according to league sources. One midwestern club also has nominated Don Shula, coach of the Miami Dolphins.
According to other team spokesmen, at least five candidates will be interviewed by the NFL’s 28 owners next week in Dallas--Jim Finks of the New Orleans Saints, New York businessmen Pat Barrett and Bob Mulcahy, Los Angeles businessman Willie Davis and NFL lawyer Paul Taliabue.
