Irvine : Caltrans, Measure M Represented at Forum

Share

“Transportation in Orange County’s Future” will be discussed by slow-growth activist Norm Grossman and the California Department of Transportation’s Orange County director, Keith McKean, at a Town Hall forum on Wednesday in Irvine.

Grossman, a supporter of Measure M, the proposed county half-cent sales tax for highway and transit projects and a leader in the campaign on behalf of last year’s unsuccessful slow-growth ballot initiative, currently serves as first vice president of the Orange County Foundation for Consensus in Transportation, a coalition of business executives and community activists.

Town Hall officials said Grossman will explain “how your personal transportation scenarios can help shape the future of transportation in Orange County.”

McKean has been asked to address the question, “What has Caltrans done for us lately?”

The luncheon forum will be held at noon at the Airporter Inn, 18700 MacArthur Blvd.

Town Hall of California is a volunteer, nonprofit organization that invites prominent activists and decision makers to air their views at luncheons held throughout the year.
