What Will Davis Say to His New Coach, ‘Just Do OK, Baby’?
Al Davis said the release of Mike Shanahan was a step in a new direction of identity and that winning and losing did not have any bearing in naming Art Shell as new head coach.
Who is the man trying to kid? Every bit of Raider paraphernalia refers to the Raiders as “sports’ winningest team.” Davis should have looked at his incompetent team, not Shanahan.
I do wish Davis good luck. I have a feeling he can be a coach again via Art Shell, and he’ll dazzle us all with his brillance and insight from coaching in the ‘60s (even though we’re heading into the ‘90s).
