Perris Breaks Loose and Runs Away From La Habra, 55-14

Perris High School rushed for 555 yards and eight touchdowns to defeat La Habra High School, 55-14, at La Habra Friday night.
Perris running back Bobby Landers rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns, scoring on runs of 50, 6 and 64 yards in the first half.
James Robnett rushed for 170 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, breaking away for runs of 70 and 77 yards.
Perris built a 27-6 lead in the first half, converting three La Habra fumbles into touchdowns. After La Habra opened the scoring with a 50-yard run by Jeff Besinaiz, Perris scored on its next four possessions.
Perris had eight runs of 30 yards or more and averaged 13.5 per carry in the contest.
La Habra running back Mark Brown rushed for 89 yards in 14 carries and also scored with a 47-yard pass from quarterback Mark Moreno.
La Habra is 2-3 and Perris is 3-2.
