Cypress : Los Alamitos Forum Focuses On Development

Cypress residents will have a chance to discuss development plans for the Los Alamitos Race Track and its surrounding area tonight at a special public forum.
The forum is sponsored by the new owners of the track, who say they want to hear from the public before filing a specific redevelopment plan. In particular, they want to discuss sensitive issues concerning the land with community leaders.
Partners Buzz Oats, Tom Manz, Frank Ramos, Lloyd Arnold and Christo Bartis agreed with Hollywood Park Realty to buy the track last month. Escrow is expected to close Nov. 2.
Tonight’s meeting will begin at 7:30 in the Cypress Community Center auditorium at 5700 Orange Ave.
