Residents Return After Toxic Spill From Train
GLENVILLE, N.Y. —
Cleanup crews pumped out an overturned railroad tanker car and declared a chemical spill emergency over Friday, allowing some 2,000 residents to return to their homes. The derailment Thursday night spilled about 100 gallons of hexane, a toxic, flammable chemical that is used as a solvent.
