A Sacramento man whom police sought in the drive-by killing of a 6-year-old girl has turned himself in, authorities said. James Montanez, 27, walked with his lawyer into the Hall of Justice. He was booked into the county jail on a charge of first-degree murder and held without bail until arraignment next week. Leticia Gonzales was killed and her mother, Esperanza Gonzales, 24, and aunt, Katrina Richards, 27, were wounded Tuesday night when gunfire was sprayed from a car into a group of people standing at Northgate Park. The women were talking with two men, known to be gang members, who police believe were the real targets.
