UniCare Financial Corp., an Irvine holding company for a workers compensation underwriter, posted net income of $1.9 million for the third quarter, a 27% increase over $1.5 million in last year’s third quarter. Quarterly revenue grew 42% to $18.5 million this year from $13 million last year. For the nine months, net income rose 25% to $5.5 million from $4.4 million in the comparable period last year.
