Alhambra : Recycling Begins Friday
The city’s pilot recycling program will begin Friday, the first day recyclable trash will be picked up from designated homes.
Under the program, 1,000 households in a neighborhood south of Almansor Park will participate during the three-month test period. Participating residents have been asked to put glass, newspaper and cans in recycling crates that the city delivered last week.
City officials will use results of the pilot program to decide whether a citywide recycling program is feasible.
