WESTMINSTER : Man Arrested After Crash That Hurt Six

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a two-car accident that seriously injured six people at Beach Boulevard and 11th Street early Sunday, police said.

One of the injured, a 3-year-old girl, was in critical condition at Long Beach Memorial Hospital on Sunday with liver, spleen and adrenal injuries, Westminster Police Sgt. Russell Silva said.

Salomon Galindo, 21, of Riverside was arrested after his car hit broadside a car driven by Roxanne Huth, who was turning left onto 11th Street, Silva said.

Galindo suffered head and face injuries and was taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Silva said. His passenger, Carlos Campos, 25, of Anaheim was taken to the trauma unit at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center with abdominal injuries, he said.

Huth, 32, of Westminster, suffered fractures of the leg, pelvis and jaw and was taken by helicopter to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, Silva said.

Her passengers, Josefina Carrillo, 25, of Westminster, who is the mother of the 3-year-old girl, and Carrillo’s other daughter, 4, were being treated for broken bones and other injuries at area hospitals, Silva said.
