THE SIDELINES : Durham to Play on Spanish Team
Pat Durham, Colorado State’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, is to leave for Spain on Wednesday to play basketball for Seville.
Terms of the contract signed Sunday were not disclosed, but Durham is believed assured of more than the NBA minimum of $110,000, plus the use of a condominium and a car.
The 6-foot-8 Durham, who averaged 19 points and 7.8 rebounds a game last season to lead Colorado State to its first Western Athletic Conference championship and an NCAA Tournament berth, was drafted in the second round last June by the Dallas Mavericks, the 35th pick overall.
