Kelsey Grammer, who plays brainy Dr. Frazier Crane on the TV sitcom “Cheers,” appeared in court Wednesday in his felony drug case and asked the judge for permission to attend a court-sponsored drug abuse education diversion program. The judge agreed. Grammer, 34, had faced one felony count of possession of cocaine after his April 14 arrest following a routine traffic stop. The drug-abuse education program is offered to people charged with first-time felony drug offenses.
