Delta to Sell Stake to Singapore Line: Delta Airlines agreed to sell 5% of its shares to Singapore Airlines, a move that protects the airline from unwanted takeovers by increasing to nearly 25% the amount of Delta shares in friendly hands. Delta also agreed to buy shares in Singapore. Delta said the deal reinforces a 6-month-old marketing agreement with Singapore, in which the airlines said they would try to coordinate certain promotions and flight schedules.
