Point Loma 28, Patrick Henry 21--Danny White, the county’s passing leader, threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns for No. 3 Point Loma (5-3, 3-0). White, who was 16 of 25, has thrown 15 touchdown passes. Point Loma’s Marlin Manassa ran 16 times for 92 yards and a touchdown, receiver J.J. Stokes caught seven passes for 147 yards and a touchdown and Brett Callan caught seven passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Defensive tackle James Zumwalt had six of Point Loma’s 10 sacks and intercepted a pass.

David Gregory ran 18 times for 125 yards and quarterback Luke Lowrey was 17 of 27 for 245 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for Patrick Henry (4-4, 1-2).

Madison 17, Serra 13--Quarterback Tom Cottner was nine of 16 for 157 yards and ran for a touchdown for Madison (4-4, 1-2). Serra is 2-6 and 0-3.

City Central League

St. Augustine 14, Crawford 0--Marco Cabanillas threw two touchdown passes, a 17-yarder to Jason Alcoser and a 35-yarder to John Mozerka, for visiting St. Augustine (5-3, 2-1). Cabanillas completed five of 10 passes for 109 yards and Hunter Buckner rushed for 170 yards on 21 carries as St. Augustine moved into a tie for first place in the City Central League. Crawford is 6-2, 2-1.

Hoover 26, San Diego 12--Tony Banks threw two touchdown passes to Steve Perry and Hoover defenders intercepted three Alex Hayslett passes--returning two for touchdowns. Hayslett completed 16 of 46 for 194 yards and a touchdown, but Jerome Kennedy returned an interception 24 yards and Levi McLaurin returned another interception 19 yards for another score to lead Hoover (4-4, 2-1). San Diego is 3-5 and 0-3.

City Western League

University City 23, USDHS 20--University City’s Anthony Hall kicked three field goals, including a game-winning 17-yarder with two minutes remaining. He also completed 14 of 37 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown. Jerome Price caught eight passes for 162 yards, including a 65-yarder for a touchdown, for University City (3-4, 2-1). USDHS is 5-3 and 1-2.

Mission Bay 35, Clairemont 9--Marlon Gardinera ran 80 yards for a touchdown on Mission Bay’s first offensive play and finished with 108 yards on nine carries. Pat Betancourt scored three touchdowns, rushing for 80 yards on 10 carries, for Mission Bay (7-1, 3-0), and sophomore quarterback Andy Guyader completed six for 11 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. Clairemont is 1-6 and 0-3.

Kearny 33, La Jolla 7--Ted Mack rushed 15 times for 116 yards and a touchdown for Kearny (7-1, 3-0). La Jolla (2-5-1, 0-3) scored its first touchdown in four games on Nick Alford’s nine-yard run.

Avocado League

San Pasqual 32, Carlsbad 20--Andy Bacon ran 20 times for 188 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown run, to lead No. 9 San Pasqual (7-1, 3-1). Eric Olson caught three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns for San Pasqual. Carlsbad is 3-5 and 1-3.

San Marcos 28, Escondido 13--Quarterback Lance Gallagos scored on runs of 33 and 50 yards and Eric Morton returned a fumble 29 yards for another score to lead San Marcos at home. Gallagos ran for 190 yards on 14 carries for San Marcos (2-5, 1-3). Escondido is 1-7 and 0-5.

Oceanside 19, Ramona 0--Kenya Hunt returned a kickoff 95 yards and Junior Faavae returned an interception 25 yards for Oceanside (4-3, 3-1). Cesar Garcia added field goals of 35 and 28 yards. Ramona is 5-3 and 3-2. Palomar League

San Dieguito 28, Poway 7--Troy Anderson ran 19 times for 82 yards and three touchdowns and Andy Horton returned a fumble seven yards for a touchdown to lead San Dieguito (5-3, 2-3) at home. Poway is 4-4 and 2-3.

Vista 20, Torrey Pines 0--Nuri Konuckcu rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries and Chu Chu Walker threw for 75 yards and ran for 54 more for Vista (2-6, 1-4). Torrey Pines is 1-7 and 0-5.

Grossmont 3-A League

Helix 26, Monte Vista 9--Rob Ippolito completed 13 of 23 for 133 yards and one touchdown for Helix (5-1-1, 2-0). Helix’s Jarred Parr ran 20 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Monte Vista is 4-4 and 1-2.

Metro Conference

Chula Vista 35, Montgomery 0--Neivett Richardson caught two touchdown passes of 35 and 65 yards from quarterback Derek Chapman for No. 2 Chula Vista (7-0-1, 4-0-1). Richardson had four receptions for 166 yards. Chapman was eight for 10 for 221 yards with three touchdowns. Montgomery dropped to 3-5, 2-3.

Sweetwater 20, Mar Vista 17--Willie Branch had two 67-yard touchdown runs for Sweetwater (3-5, 3-2). Branch rushed seven times for 145 yards. Mar Vista dropped to 2-6, 0-5.

Nonleague

El Camino 45, El Capitan 0--El Camino recovered six fumbles, including two by Ricky Spears. Charles Hicks ran for 74 yards on four carries for No. 4 El Camino (7-1). El Capitan is 0-7-1.

El Cajon Valley 32, Coronado 0--Erin Gharring completed nine of 20 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns to lead El Cajon (1-7). Simona Prochaska added field goals of 26 and 22 yards.
