Making Ends Meet in Orange County

The Christopher movement had a saying: “It’s better to light a candle than complain about the darkness,” which makes a lot of sense, especially when we have the homeless people in our midst.
In the mail the other day I received some information about the organization Habitat for Humanity. This is an organization that has the active support of President (Jimmy) and Rosalyn Carter to which we can all donate money or our time to personally help in the construction of homes for the homeless. The same day I read in the paper that the organization is going to build houses for the poor in Santa Ana.
Here’s our chance to light that candle.

I can’t drive a nail straight, but I’m buying a pair of gloves and am wading right in to do whatever is needed.
