NAMES IN THE NEWS : Graceland Gets Own Postmark

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —
“Return to sender, address unknown” will be a phrase coming from Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion, but it won’t be set to music.
The Postal Service has given Graceland final approval to operate a postal station in a nearby visitor center. The station will be operated under contract with the Postal Service and will open officially later this month.
Everything mailed from there will be postmarked Graceland Contract Station.
The mansion is a tourist attraction that has had 650,000 visitors this year. Presley died there in 1977.
