Several NBA Players Fined for Fighting

NEW YORK —
Armon Gilliam of Phoenix and Isiah Thomas and James Edwards of Detroit were fined $2,500 each for fighting in NBA exhibition games.
Gilliam was fined for initiating an altercation during a Phoenix-Detroit game at Tempe, Ariz., last Friday by elbowing Thomas in the throat and throwing a punch. Thomas was fined $1,000 for hitting Gilliam.
Edwards was fined $2,500 for starting a fight during the Detroit-Philadelphia game at Toronto Monday.
