Carson’s Women
I was appalled at the absence of successful women performers on “Johnny Carson’s 27th Anniversary Special” Oct. 26.
The image that the two women on the show did portray was demeaning, insulting and embarrassing. A sex-crazed woodcutter and a floozy with a whip are not substitutes for the great number of talented women who have appeared on the Carson show and have contributed moments that audiences would enjoy seeing again as much as seeing Johnny and his blokes.
