STATE : L.A. Player Picks All 6 Numbers, Wins $17.6-Million Lotto Jackpot
A lucky player in Los Angeles picked all six numbers in the midweek Lotto 6/49 drawing for the $17.6-million jackpot, state lottery officials said today.
Nine players chose five winning numbers plus the bonus number and will divide a $2.06-million prize pool for individual prizes of $229,705. Two of those tickets were bought in Anaheim, while the others were purchased in Visalia, Oakland, Albany, Santa Rosa, Granada Hills, Ojai and Northridge.
Ticket sales from Saturday night to Wednesday’s game totaled $19.36 million. Lottery officials estimated that Saturday’s drawing will be worth $5 million.
