Special Film Program to Honor Dr. Seuss

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to children and parents everywhere as Dr. Seuss, will be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. in its Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
Animator Chuck Jones, who brought to life such Seuss classics as “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!,” will also be present for the special program, which will include screenings of “Grinch” and the Oscar-winning short “Gerald McBoing Boing” as well as clips from “The Lorax” and “Horton Hears a Who.” Information: (213) 278-8990.
