Cleveland Ready to Rock ‘n’ Roll: The group behind Cleveland’s effort to be the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame beat a Wednesday deadline to submit a funding proposal by presenting a package totaling more than $40.2 million to build and support the proposed facility. The package, presented at a Cleveland press conference Wednesday morning, includes $28 million in public funding ($18 million to be raised through a city bond) and more than $12 in foundation and corporate support. Among recent private donations was a $1 million offering from the band the Who, which was elected to the hall earlier this month.
