Braden Moves to Court: Former “Crossfire” co-anchor Tom Braden has filed a $2.5-million libel and slander suit in Washington Superior Court against Cable News Network, “Crossfire” executive producer Randall Douthit and the Washington Times. Braden, who had been with the CNN talk show since its beginning in 1982, was dropped late in August in favor of the New Republic’s Michael Kinsley.
