Anthony (Tony) Montalbano, 67, who as Tony Montell sang in such Broadway musicals as “Mexican Hayride,” “Around the World in 80 Days,” “High Button Shoes,” “Kiss Me Kate” and “Polonaise.” After leaving New York in 1959, he came to Los Angeles and took over the beauty salon in the downtown Hilton, which he operated for many years before joining the wardrobe department at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park.
