MISSION VIEJO : Saddleback College Paper Wins Again

For the second consecutive year, the Lariat, Saddleback College’s weekly student newspaper, has received a Western Region Pacemaker Award for being an outstanding student publication.

The award was presented by the Associated Collegiate Press, the nation’s oldest and largest collegiate press organization.

The Lariat was among two other community college newspapers--the Contra Costa Advocate and Los Angeles Pierce’s Roundup--and four university papers in its region to receive the award.

The region includes the states of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
