NEWPORT BEACH : Residents to Develop an Emergency Plan
- Share via
West Newport Beach homeowners will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the City Council chambers to develop a neighborhood emergency plan.
The city already has a Citizens Advisory Committee for emergency preparedness, which is meeting bimonthly and recently presented an interim report to the City Council. The homeowners want to assess their resources, pre-register people with the necessary skills to handle an emergency, learn more about what is available in emergency kits and home preparedness, and organize neighborhoods.
Jeffrey Stern, chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee, and Capt. Axel Zanelli of the Fire Department will assist the homeowners in their planning session.
