Share

The Children’s Home Society of California has received four grants totaling $320,000 to train day-care providers in Orange County and provide resource and referral information for local parents.

The grants are from Mervyn’s, the California Child Care Initiative Project, the Orange County Developer Child Care Fee Program, the city of Irvine and the Santa Margarita Co.

Since 1980, births have accounted for nearly 60% of the county’s growth, while the number of working mothers has increased steadily.
