Collins Goes ‘Home’: TV personality Gary Collins has been signed to host “The Home Show,” beginning Dec. 26. Collins, who replaces Robb Weller in that role on the ABC show, hosted “Hour Magazine” for nine years, beginning in 1980. In 1984 he was awarded an Emmy as Best Host of a Talk/Service series. The husband of former Miss America and actress Mary Ann Mobley also hosts “The Miss America Pageant” on NBC. He and his wife are known for their work for the charity organization World Vision, and are active in fund-raising and educational activities for the March of Dimes and the National Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis.
