Autopsy Fails to Reveal a Cause for Goff’s Death
An autopsy performed Sunday on Mike Goff, a Fullerton College basketball player, failed to reveal a definitive cause of death, according to a spokesman for the Orange County Coroner’s office.
Goff collapsed on Saturday after eating breakfast at his home in Anaheim. He was taken to Humana Hospital in Anaheim, where he was pronounced dead. He was 19.
The corner’s office will conduct microscopic and toxicological tests this week in an effort to establish an exact cause of death.
A Mass will be offered for Goff at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Justin Martyr Church in Anaheim. There will be a rosary at 7:30 tonight at Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Anaheim.
The family has asked that instead of flowers, people contribute to a memorial scholarship fund established at Magnolia High School.
