Audrey Christie, 79, a vaudeville dancer with the Six Chicago Steppers as a girl of 14 and later a star in such Broadway productions as “Follow Thru” (1929), “Sailor Beware” (1933), “Banjo Eyes” (1941), “Voice of the Turtle” (1943) and “Light Up the Sky” (1948). She also was seen in New York in “The Women” and “I Married an Angel.” Miss Christie appeared in such films as “Carousel,” “Splendor in the Grass” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” and was seen on television in many episodes of “Studio One” and in the 1960s series “Fair Exchange.” In West Hollywood on Dec. 20 of the complications of emphysema.
