Long Beach Women Lose to Maryland
Fourteenth-ranked Maryland defeated No. 6 Cal State Long Beach, 65-50, Friday in the championship game of the Terrapins’ invitational women’s basketball tournament at College Park, Md.
It was the 300th victory of Maryland Coach Chris Weller’s career.
Maryland outrebounded the 49ers, 43-36, and connected on three of four three-pointers to improve to 8-2. The 49ers (7-2) were led by Angelique Lee, who scored 11 points.
