Because of eight attempted sexual assaults, the San Diego Police Department is advising women to walk with another person or, if possible, not to walk in the area of California 94 and Euclid Avenue.

The first sexual assault was reported June 7, the most recent Dec. 22.

Police said the assailant approaches women walking alone at night from behind, takes them to a secluded area, and simulates sexual intercourse with both people fully clothed.

The attacker is described as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, in his late 20s or early 30s, with short black hair and a medium to heavy build.
