Share

City Council has approved a three-year contract with the Tustin Municipal Employees Assn., which represents about 130 workers.

The agreement calls for a minimum pay increase of 5% retroactive to Jan. 1, a 1% increase effective July 1 and further increases in 1991 and 1992.

The union, which represents non-management general employees including secretaries, clerks, custodians and tree trimmers, has already approved the contract.

A contract for the 52 employees represented by the Tustin Police Officers Assn. is still being negotiated, City Manager William A. Huston said. The contract expired Jan. 1. Negotiating teams are expected to meet again in the next few days, Huston said.
