49er Fans Get Last Laugh at Columnists

There are occasions when fatuous comments come back to haunt. Even the most clever, the most urbane, must eat crow, so Jim Murray, please do so along with the local media sycophants who have consistently underrated the 49ers and hyped the Rams. Murray in particular should swallow his quote from the Jan. 14 Times: “I don’t know about you, but I’ve always had troubles taking the Niners seriously.” Montana took care of business by halftime when his mates taught Everett and the Lambs what team football is all about.
