Harvey Mudd College Gets $350,000 Grant
CLAREMONT —
The National Science Foundation has awarded a $350,000 grant to Harvey Mudd College to establish a pre-freshman summer institute and research program for black, Latino and Native American students in science and engineering.
The purpose of the grant is to attract talented minority students in engineering and science. The summer institute would offer minority freshmen a change to strengthen their skills in mathematics and science.
