Bowie Tours: David Bowie will kick off a five-continent world tour March 4 in Quebec, Canada, with U.S. dates planned for the summer, the singer was scheduled to announce at a London press conference today. The “Sound + Vision” tour will be a retrospective of the singer’s career, tied into the CD releases of his catalogue scheduled to take place throughout the year. A novel aspect of the tour is that fans will be able to help choose the tour songs by registering their favorites through a special interactive telephone line that will be opened today. The U.S. number is (900) BOWIE90. Bowie will be backed on the tour by a quartet led by guitarist Adrian Belew.
