A New Restaurant on the Sunset Strip?

Share

What’s different about this restaurant?

It looks the same as it always did, sitting at 8800 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, right on the Strip across from Spago and next to Book Soup. It even has the same phone number: (213) 657-2083.

It has the same eclectic California-Asian menu too. You can still sit down and start with an order of Fiji shumai , go on to Caesar salad and then choose a hamburger, an order of French fries or spaghetti with seaweed and daikon sprouts. And then you can top the whole thing off with a barbecued banana ice cream sundae.

Even the prices are the same: Extremely reasonable.

So what’s different? Only the name. A couple of weeks ago it was called Flags. Today the sign says Chaya Diner.
