Santa Clarita Plans Road Projects Forum
The Santa Clarita City Council is to conduct a public forum Wednesday to discuss the status of road construction in the city and to hear residents’ comments on other transportation programs. The forum will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
Director of Public Works John Medina said the council particularly hopes to hear the public’s recommendations on how to pay for road projects. A tax initiative that would have raised $285 million to build and improve roads in the Santa Clarita Valley was overwhelmingly defeated by voters last fall.
