Countywide : U.N. Assn. Seeks Essay Contestants

Hoping to add to a string of local winners, the Orange County chapter of the United Nations Assn. is looking for high school students to compete in a nationwide essay contest that has a $1,000 first prize.
Competing students are to write essays on the future of the United Nations and the global environment. The deadline is March 1.
The first-place winner gets $1,000, plus a trip to New York City.
