Schaufuss, Seymour to Dance in Pasadena: Danish ballet dancer Peter Schaufuss, who was fired Tuesday from his post as artistic director of the English National Ballet (formerly known as the London Festival Ballet), will dance here with members of his former company at a March 11 AIDS benefit to be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. According to Alan Sievewright, producer of the International Gala of Opera and Ballet, who was reached by telephone in London on Thursday, Schaufuss will dance the evening’s finale, the pas de deux from “Don Quixote,” with the company’s Leanne Benjamin. Also appearing from the National Ballet will be renowned Canadian-born ballerina Lynn Seymour. Sievewright said that Seymour will dance “Five Brahms Waltzes in the Manner of Isadora Duncan,” which was created for her by Sir Frederick Ashton.
