Maybe They Should Just Be Committed
Why tear down the Coliseum for the sake of the Raiders? Why does Los Angeles let itself be blackmailed by Al Davis? Do the Commission members feel they’ll lose their jobs unless they give in to these demands by just a football team?
The Coliseum is not just a football stadium. It is a symbol of a lot more. The history behind it is enormous and impressive. To destroy it for the Raiders does not make sense.
Why not just build another stadium somewhere else, and keep the Coliseum for what it is--a monument?
