Lions Plan Scholarships for Flag Speech Winners
Walnut students interested in entering the annual California-Nevada Lions International Student Speakers Contest must submit applications by Feb. 15.
Students will vie for up to $12,000 in scholarships by giving speeches on this year’s subject: “What the American Flag Means to Me.”
The student speaker contest, hosted by the Walnut Lions Club, will begin at the Walnut City Community Center Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
