ARTexpress, a new quarterly newsletter published by ARTexpress Newsletter Partners in Newport Beach, promises travel tips “for the connoisseur.” A different city--the location of an international art fair or other major event occurring six months in the future (“in time to schedule your art-filled days”)--will be the focus of each issue: Venice for the Biennale, Los Angeles for ART/LA ‘90, Kassel at the opening of Documenta. Each issue also will include three pages of hotel, restaurant, shopping and museum recommendations for other cities, and an international art calendar. The editors, who describe themselves in the teaser letter as “art/travel professionals, art historians and educators who lead museum tours worldwide,” apparently have chosen to remain anonymous.
