Man Hospitalized After Drive-By Shooting

A 20-year-old man was shot Wednesday night near Chicano Park in the 2000 block of National Avenue in what police called the latest in a series of drive-by shootings.
A spokesman for the San Diego Police Department said the unidentified man was shot about 7:25 p.m. The wounded man told police that the car was brown and was occupied by more than one person, police said.
A supervisor at Physicians & Surgeons Hospital said the man was checked in by a friend at 7:40 p.m. He was in stable condition Wednesday night with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
