Barricades
Police barricades are the wrong approach (Metro, Feb. 2). When the latest police barricade in South-Central Los Angeles is removed will there be more job opportunities, programs for youth employment, or a higher literacy rate? No. Will the huge illegal Central American resident population be legal? No. It’s time to put an end to these marshal law tactics that accomplish nothing more than to promote racism. Education is the solution, not this type of police action.
