In Concert

Bare skin was the fashion accessory of the evening for some at a Motley Crue concert this week. Not for the men. They opted for tried-and-true denim and leather looks--unlike Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, who pounded through the night wearing nothing but a pair of black bikini briefs. The women in the Forum audience wore their skirts short and tight, often with halter tops despite the February chill. Dresses were backless, strapless and sleeveless, and some were almost frontless concoctions of stretchy black fabric. Variations on the sea of coal-colored clothing were the skull-and-dagger prints or Harley-Davidson insignias some fans wore. One or two others flashed tie-dyed T-shirts, not the standard fare in a metalhead’s lexicon of style.
